Have you ever been away from your computer and then suddenly realized that you needed a file that was on another computer? Maybe you forgot to transfer it onto your flash drive, iPad or iPhone. I can recall at least one time where I may or may not have broken a few minor traffic laws to get across the city in order to grab an errant file.
The answer may be right under your nose if you have been following a proper backup procedure. As I explained in previously, I use Backblaze to do automatic backups of the files on my computer.
You can select files stored on Backblaze to restore at anytime. These files can be zipped and emailed to you or can download them directly from the web interface. This means that as long as the file has been backed up by Backblaze then you will be able to access it at anytime, from anywhere. This is a great solution for those times you forget an important document or file when you leave your home or office.
This tip will also work with the iPad! Watch the following video to see how.
Of course, if you haven’t been using Backblaze then you should start by reading about backing up your digital information and then signing up for Backblaze.
