If there is one tip that I constantly give to people (that’s technology related) it’s backup. As I have said before, if you don’t have multiple copies of your data then it doesn’t exist.
I wrote about backing up files that are stored on your personal computer in an earlier post. But have you ever thought about all that data that you have stored on different web services? Services such as Gmail, Google Docs, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and others. This is where Backupify comes into the picture.
The setup for each service varies slighty. For the most part, it involves selecting the service that you wish to have Backupify backup. Then you give permission to Backupify to access that service on your behalf and then you never have to do anything again. In a true set it and forget it fashion, Backupify takes care of backing up all that data to their servers.
I personally use Backupify to backup my web services and cloud data. I even use it to backup this blog! Have you tried Backupify? If so, what did you think?
